Section 1.3 - Tasks of the ICP

SURFnet is the standard Internet access provider for universities, governmental institutions (including EZ: the Ministry of Economic Affairs) and research institutions. In order to streamline the communication with the 100+ connected institutions, SURFnet has a system with contact persons per institution, the so called Instellings Contact Persoon (ICP).
The tasks of the ICP are, amongst others:

Providing information to the users of the services offered by SURFnet. This is accomplished by providing the SURFnet publications via the library.
Report point for users who have questions, problems etc. On the RGD, however, problems and questions should always be reported to the helpdesk, with the (dutch) helpdesk question form or phone 136.
Information source to SURFnet with regard to needs and complaints about the SURFnet services.
