Section 3.1 - Introduction

This chapter provides information about the RGD WWW server itself. It is under rather frequent revision, as tools come and go ;-)

Section 2 gives an overview of the usage and visits to our server, based on the data generated by the analog program. Section 3 describes the graphical and technical design principles for this site. Section 4 lists the tools and scripts used for administration and maintanance of the server.

Section 5 lists the sites where the RGD WWW server has been registered and is about to be registered. Only the webmaster is allowed to register our site or pages at the various index and catalogue servers. Furthermore, an overview of the short url's as implemented with Unix symbolic links in order to have url's that are not too lengthy are are suitable for e.g. references in publications.

Section 6 is a list of things that deserve attention, must be looked into, or should be implemented (the "todo" list).
